Welcome to Bostons by the Bay Rescue!  We are a small, family-run Boston Terrier rescue group located in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Our rescue territory also includes Northern and Central California cities.

We rescue both purebred Boston Terriers and Boston mixes from shelters as well as from owners who are no longer able to keep their dog.  We also take in strays found by the public and assist owners who have lost their dog.

Since we’re a small rescue, we strive to provide individualized attention to the dogs in our care.  Each dog placed with us is given a full veterinary exam which includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, fecal and heartworm tests, and microchip.  We also provide any additional medical treatment that may be needed.  Each dog is bathed and put on flea and heartworm preventative.

We treat our fosters like our own dogs!  They eat, sleep, and play with us.  Each dog is given special time for snuggling and love!  We also work on getting them housebroken (if needed) and try to identify areas where we can help with their obedience training.

Each dog is important to us and we want them to feel safe and loved.  For this reason, we do not place them on a "first-come, first-served" basis.  We choose the home which best fits their individual needs.

As owners of rescued Bostons ourselves, we have learned about the breed from experience and can assist our adopters once a dog is placed with them.  We want our dogs to find their forever homes, but always welcome back any dog we place, for any reason.  Our goal is to keep them off the streets and out of the shelters!

Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescued Boston Terrier!
